The reason I started SlickSurf.com is because I found myself with a problem (one of my mouse feet had fallen off) and I went looking for a solution.

After searching around the Internet, I found that there were no acceptable products on the market. In my searching, I purchased two different versions of Teflon tape that were literally just that, a piece of tape.

I discovered that Teflon tape has two major problems. First of all Teflon is a soft material. It just does not last. A heavy gamer can wear out his Teflon feet in as little as one week. Secondly any tape product will have a tendency to roll up on its edges, exposing adhesive and defeating the purpose of using replacement mouse feet to begin with.

One more issue with the Teflon products is that most are not made to fit as exact replacements. Teflon tape is merely placed over the old feet, overlapping the foot area. It looks sloppy and unprofessional. One of the comments I get on my feet is that customers like the fact that the feet require no modification, they just directly replace the old feet.

I went searching for another replacement product that would work and I could not find one. What I did find was a material that is a slippery as Teflon, but lasts much, much longer.

Since I have some experience in die-making, I purchased the material and cut some mouse feet as exact replacements for the ¼ diameter feet I needed. This solution worked like a charm.

I decided that if I needed replacement feet, others probably did as well. I started selling these feet on Ebay and started getting orders immediately. The sales numbers started off very small, but have since increased month-by-month as word has spread.

I plan to add more feet types soon - Logitech G5/G7, and Razor Diamondback for instance.
